I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and psychotherapist working in private practice with a wide range of men, women, couples, parents, and teen clients from all across Bc, Canada and beyond. 

 

My professional training and experience spans the past 10 years and includes a Masters in Counselling Psychology (specializing in Mind-Body Psychology) from School of Holistic Studies at John F. Kennedy University.  I also pursued my passion for integrative and holistic approaches by completing an additional two year professional training from the Psycho-Physical Therapy Institute, as well as advanced ongoing training within the Comprehensive Resource Model.   On an ongoing basis I complete further counselling training in a variety of topics to help you benefit from the most recent research in mental health, healing and human change processes.

Parallel to my private practice in Victoria, I work at Camosun College as Campus Counsellor.   At Camosun College I support students through clinical counselling, workshops and groups covering across a broad range of life, relationship and mental health issues.  I was previously Director of Housing at Quest University Canada and part of the management team and where I served students in a variety of milieu counselling, assessment and student development capacities.  My previous counselling experience includes private practice work in Oakland and Vancouver,  working for the Oakland Center for Holistic Counselling and also British Columbia Families in Transition in Victoria.   Prior to my career change into counselling, I have 8 years of experience working in a variety of roles in the Vancouver software industry including team leader, project manager and marketing coordinator.

I focus on offering my clients the best of traditional approaches to counselling combined with leading edge mind-body research on mindfulness, stress reduction, neuroscience and other holistic views on mental health and well-being.  In my approach mind, body, emotions and spirit/existential ideas are all welcome and important topics for counselling.
